Soccer Game Preview: Wilson Central vs. Lebanon

The Wilson Central Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Lebanon Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wilson Central came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Stewarts Creek, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Wilson Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Stewarts Creek are ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, Lebanon didn't have quite enough to beat Cookeville on Thursday and fell 2-1.

Wilson Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lebanon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Wilson Central was able to grind out a solid win over Lebanon when the teams last played last Tuesday, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
