Soccer Recap: East Greenwich Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Coventry kept up with East Greenwich until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Avengers never let the Oakers get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Maeve Soden was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

The win made it two in a row for East Greenwich and bumps their season record up to 5-1-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two contests. As for Coventry, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Greenwich will host Pilgrim at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Greenwich will be up against Pilgrim's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.6 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
