Football Game Preview: Livingston Wolves vs. Johansen Vikings + Official Tickets

The Livingston Wolves will challenge the Johansen Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Livingston has given up an average of 34.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Livingston took a blow against Lathrop, falling 61-27.

Despite the loss, Livingston got top-tier performance from Roberto Rivera, who rushed for 200 yards and three scores on only 12 carries. The Wolves are 2-1 when Rivera posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Johansen made easy work of Central Valley on Friday and carried off a 28-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won four contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

A big part of Johansen's win came down to the chemistry between Anthony Torres and his top target Grabriel Ibanez. Torres threw for 173 yards and three TDs while Ibanez picked up 45 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Johansen didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Central Valley to a completion percentage of just 38.5%. The Vikings hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.39 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

Johansen is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.6 points on average over those games. As for Livingston, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
