Basketball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

If Kennedy was riding high fresh off their 80-44 takedown of Cambria Heights Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Kennedy were just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 59-58 to the Queens School Of Inquiry Owls. Kennedy's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Kennedy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for Queens School Of Inquiry, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Kennedy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 80-67 win against Sinatra on the 17th. As for Queens School Of Inquiry, they will take on East-West School of International Studies at 4:30 p.m. on January 24th. Queens School Of Inquiry knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully East-West School of International Studies likes a good challenge.
