Volleyball Game Preview: Poly Parrots vs. Grant Lancers

Poly is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Grant is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Poly made easy work of Panorama and carried off a 3-0 win.

Poly got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-17, 25-17.

Stephon Aragon was the offensive standout of the match as he had 12 digs. That's the most digs he has posted over his last four games.

Meanwhile, Grant got the win against Monroe last Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won eight in a row.

Grant walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-9, 25-16, 25-19.

Grant's victory bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Poly, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.
