Alvord is 10-0 against Chico since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Alvord Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chico Dragons at 11:00 a.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Alvord saw some tournament action on Friday. They were beaten by Keene 65-27. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1040th, while the Chargers are ranked 474th).

Meanwhile, Chico played a tough contest last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 92-34 loss at the hands of Slidell. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-20.

Alvord will have to contain Jordan Weiland as he made an impact in Chico's last game. He dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 boards. Weiland is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Chico's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Alvord, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Alvord against Chico in their previous matchup back in February, as the team secured an 86-30 win. Does Alvord have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chico turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
