Recap: Animo Pat Brown Gryphons vs. Animo Watts Warriors
The Animo Pat Brown Gryphons suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Animo Watts 76-39. That's two games in a row now that Animo Pat Brown has lost by exactly 37 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Animo Watts to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaydin Smith, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 19 rebounds. Smith continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jaden Em was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Animo Pat Brown and nudges their season record down to 3-9. As for Animo Watts, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Animo Pat Brown will be playing in front of their home fans against Burton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Burton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Animo Watts, they will head out on the road to challenge Animo Venice at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Animo Venice is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
