Recap: Izard County Cougars vs. Rivercrest Colts
The Izard County Cougars waltzed into their game on Saturday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They strolled past Rivercrest with points to spare, taking the game 72-54. This was payback for Izard County, who suffered a 52-44 defeat the last time these two teams met.
When it comes to explaining why Rivercrest lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mykayla Banks. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Burks, who scored 15 points.
Izard County is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Rivercrest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-10.
Izard County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rivercrest also has no future games currently scheduled.
