Volleyball Recap: Savanna Comes Up Short

Savanna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Los Amigos Lobos. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Savanna wouldn't go down easily and took Los Amigos into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-11, 19-25, 27-29, 16-14.

Savanna's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Los Amigos, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Savanna is set to take on their familiar foe Santa Ana Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Los Amigos will challenge rival Anaheim at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
