Softball Recap: Lake Worth Comes Up Short

If Lake Worth was riding high fresh off their 22-4 takedown of Glades Central last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lake Worth Trojans came up short against the Glades Day Gators on Monday, falling 31-17. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Gators 7-1 in the first period.

Lake Worth's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Glades Day, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Worth will venture away from home to take on Royal Palm Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Royal Palm Beach has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.14 runs per game on average), something Lake Worth will no doubt try to take advantage of. Glades Day will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Morningside Academy at 3:00 p.m. on April 7th.
