Basketball Recap: Avery County Piles Up the Points Against Rosman

Avery County posted their biggest win since December 17, 2024 on Thursday. They blew past the Rosman Tigers 68-22. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 77-14 back in December of 2024.

Avery County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hank Johnson led the charge by putting up 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Weston Woody, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

Avery County's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for Rosman, their loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.
