Soccer Recap: Dowling Catholic Takes a Loss

Dowling Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southeast Polk Rams. Dowling Catholic were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Southeast Polk apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Dowling Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Southeast Polk, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-7-2.

Coming up, Dowling Catholic will head out to challenge Dallas Center-Grimes at 7:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Southeast Polk, they have already played their next matchup, a 6-0 defeat against Ankeny Centennial on the 16th.
