Basketball Game Preview: Olympic Trojans vs. Myers Park Mustangs

Olympic is 2-7 against Myers Park since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Olympic Trojans will welcome the Myers Park Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Olympic is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

On Tuesday, Olympic was able to grind out a solid victory over Palisades, taking the game 43-34.

Olympic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasmyn Ashbourne out in front who posted 14 points and five rebounds. What's more, Ashbourne also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chaya James, who had eight points in addition to eight blocks and six boards.

Meanwhile, Myers Park didn't have too much trouble with Ardrey Kell on Tuesday as they won 46-30.

Myers Park's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Olympic, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.

Olympic was dealt a bruising 62-26 loss at the hands of Myers Park when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Olympic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
