Basketball Game Preview: Rensselaer Central Bombers vs. North White Vikings

The Rensselaer Central Bombers will be playing in front of their home fans against the North White Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Rensselaer Central and seven for North White dating back to last season.

Last Saturday, Rensselaer Central came up short against Benton Central and fell 62-49.

Meanwhile, North White played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Rossville, falling 78-21. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-6.

Chris Annis was North White's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Carter Applegate held things down on the boards with four rebounds. He took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

North White's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Rensselaer Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Rensselaer Central against North White in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 65-24 win. In that matchup, Rensselaer Central amassed a halftime lead of 43-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
