Basketball Recap: Ramyah Billingsley's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Central of Clay County over Shelby County

Central of Clay County easily dispatched Munford last Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Central of Clay County Volunteers fell just short of the Shelby County Wildcats by a score of 43-41 on Monday. The Volunteers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 48-45.

Central of Clay County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ramyah Billingsley, who posted 15 points and seven boards. Nariah Brock was another key player, putting up 16 points and six rebounds.
