Zayden Ebbert made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Ebbert was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Bryce Love was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Peyton is 13-2 when Love posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Rye got the win against Hoehne on Wednesday by a conclusive 15-1. The result was nothing new for the Thunderbolts, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Like Peyton, Rye also got a great game from a two-way player: Branson Burbidge. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Burbidge has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Pierce Burris and Nathan Gray did most of the damage at the plate: Burris got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Gray got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Jackson Bjorum also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Rye always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win got Rye back to even at 10-10. As for Peyton, their record is now 14-4.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Peyton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rye struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Peyton's way against Rye in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Peyton made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
