Riverton Parke waltzed into their match on Saturday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Covington Trojans a 14-0 shutout. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by ten runs or more this season.

Madison Coonce made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Maddy Lumaye was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Jacee Stonebraker was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Riverton Parke kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in ten consecutive contests.

Riverton Parke's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Covington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Riverton Parke beat the Trojans by a score of 14-1 later that day.
