 Hopewell-Loudon came tearing into  Wednesday's  game with nine straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-1  win over the Danbury Lakers. That's more bragging rights for Hopewell-Loudon, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Isabelle Beidelschies was a major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits (and not a single walk). Beidelschies has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Beidelschies was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-2 with two  RBI and a  double.
 Beidelschies wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Brynn Sendelbach, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Hopewell-Loudon's victory was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 15-2. As for Danbury,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 9-7.
 Hopewell-Loudon will head out on the road to  square off against  Gibsonburg at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hopewell-Loudon is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.9  runs per game  this season. As for Danbury, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Lakota at 5:00  p.m. The last three games Danbury has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
