Softball Recap: Washington Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Washington came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Orting Cardinals, falling 7-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.

Washington saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Steve-Rae Garcia-Zamora, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Washington's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2. As for Orting, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Washington will square off against rival Fife at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Orting is set to take on their familiar foe Eatonville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
