Basketball Game Preview: Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Crossroads Christian Colts

The Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders and the Crossroads Christian Colts will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Harrells Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Crossroads Christian likes a good challenge.

Harrells Christian Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Fayetteville Academy just ended the team's 11-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to the Eagles.

Harrells Christian Academy will have to keep a close watch on Brody Watkins and Ely Phillips, a pair of players who had a big impact on Crossroads Christian's prior game. Watkins went 6-for-15 on his way to 16 points in addition to six boards and five assists, while Phillips posted 11 points and eight rebounds. Watkins' big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jayson Baskerville, who scored eight points and seven boards.

Crossroads Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Harrells Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2.
