Baseball Recap: Lawrence Upper Comes Up Short

Lawrence Upper managed to slip by Medina Christian Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lions lost 18-1 to the Knights on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

Will Crooks put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Lawrence Upper's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Medina Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.
