Basketball Game Preview: First Christian Lions vs. Open Bible Christian Warriors

First Christian hasn't had much luck against Open Bible Christian recently, but that could start to change on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

First Christian had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 32-point drubbing they dealt Riverside Christian last Thursday. The Lions blew past the Wranglers 57-25. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Lions have posted against the Wranglers since February 8, 2021.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Open Bible Christian). They blew past Crossroads Christian Academy, posting a 68-37 win. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

First Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Open Bible Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

First Christian came up short against Open Bible Christian when the teams last played back in February, falling 64-58. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
