Softball Game Preview: Bristol Central Rams vs. Simsbury Trojans

The Bristol Central Rams are taking a road trip to square off against the Simsbury Trojans at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Bristol Central has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bristol Central came up short against Avon on Monday, falling 12-5. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Simsbury unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 14-9 to Bristol Eastern.

Bristol Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Simsbury, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1-1 and their overall record down to 11-3-1.

Bristol Central took their win against Simsbury in their previous meeting back in April of 2021 by a conclusive 11-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
