Softball Game Preview: West Springfield Terriers vs. Monson Mustangs

West Springfield is 0-3 against Monson since April of 2024 but things could change on Wednesday. The Terriers will host the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. West Springfield has given up an average of 14.8 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West Springfield couldn't beat Chicopee on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Terriers came up short against the Pacers, falling 21-7.

Kendall Burque made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aryana Santinello, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over Belchertown on Tuesday.

West Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Monson, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
