Basketball Recap: Toll Gate Titans vs. West Warwick Wizards
After flying high against Block Island last Saturday, Toll Gate came back down to earth. The Toll Gate Titans took a 66-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Warwick Wizards on Friday. The Titans lost against the Wizards in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 66-28 score last time.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Liam Leahy, who went 6 of 15 en route to 15 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Damola Oremosu, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds.
Gregory Benton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for West Warwick, going 9 of 19 on his way to 23 points in addition to five assists and five steals. The dominant performance gave Benton a new career-high in points.
