Softball Recap: La Jolla Takes a Loss

La Jolla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 25-5 to the Bishop's Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-1 two weeks ago.

Jerri Taylor made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aviv Laska, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

La Jolla's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bishop's, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

La Jolla has already played their next matchup, a 14-2 defeat against Flintridge Sacred Heart on the 14th. As for Bishop's, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-4 tie against Mayfield on the 13th.
