Softball Recap: Galt Comes Up Short

Galt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rio Linda Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 12-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Galt's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Rio Linda, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Galt will square off against Edison at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rio Linda, they will be taking part in a tournament against Amador at 4:20 p.m. on Saturday. Rio Linda is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
