Jake Hilkemann leads a balanced attack to beat Lincoln Northeast

Recap: Lincoln Southeast Knights vs. Lincoln Northeast Rockets

The Lincoln Southeast Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Lincoln Northeast as Lincoln Southeast made off with a 84-62 victory. The win was nothing new for Lincoln Southeast as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln Southeast to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Hilkemann, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Taye Moore, who scored 17 points.

Lincoln Northeast lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grant Fredericks, who scored 15 points. Mowafag A abdalla was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Lincoln Southeast has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Lincoln Northeast, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Lincoln Southeast and Pius X will face off at 6:15 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Pius X's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Lincoln Northeast, they will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln High at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln High is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.6 points per game.
