The Wahkiakum Mules will head out to challenge the Chief Leschi Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Wahkiakum's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Wahkiakum against North Beach as the squad secured a 60-8 victory. Fans of the Mules have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

It was another big night for Jayden Stoddard, who threw for 336 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Those 336 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gage Robinson, who picked up 141 receiving yards and three scores.

Meanwhile, Chief Leschi played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 58-8 loss at the hands of Naselle. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-0.

Wahkiakum's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points over those games. As for Chief Leschi, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Wahkiakum against Chief Leschi when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 50-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mules since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
