Tehachapi got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Colton Michael out in front who threw for 145 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Cyler Hoofard was Michael's top target, picking up 75 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
South's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2. As for Tehachapi, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 7-2.
Friday's contest might be decided in the on the ground. South has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 188.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Tehachapi struggles in that department as they've been averaging 245.4. It's looking like Friday's matchup might have some serious battles in the trenches.
