Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions vs. O'Connor Eagles

Mountain Ridge hasn't had much luck against O'Connor recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mountain Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mountain Ridge got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They came out on top against Liberty by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Mountain Lions in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, O'Connor waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Thunder 3-0.

O'Connor's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-8-1. As for Mountain Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 12-13.

Mountain Ridge came up short against O'Connor when the teams last played last Tuesday, falling 3-1. Can the Mountain Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
