Basketball Recap: Austin Mccraven Key Part of a Team Effort in Cougars Win

Ada-Borup won the last time they faced Hillcrest Lutheran Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Ada-Borup Cougars walked away with a 71-59 win over the Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Ada-Borup's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Austin McCraven led the charge by going 10 of 13 on his way to 24 points and three steals. The match was McCraven's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadyn Dahl, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 20 points and six rebounds.

Ada-Borup's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Ada-Borup didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-60 win against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton on the 21st. Hillcrest Lutheran Academy and Mountain Iron-Buhl will round out the year against one another at at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th.
