Milford proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the St. Teresa Bulldogs a 2-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Bearcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not much got past Caleb Clutteur, who gave up just four hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep St. Teresa off the board. Clutteur has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Milford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hixon Lafond, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Milford's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for St. Teresa, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-10.

Looking ahead, Milford will head out to challenge Beecher at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Teresa, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 4:30 p.m.
