Football Recap: Grantsville Cowboys vs. Ben Lomond Scots        
        
		
             Grantsville waltzed into their contest  on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They breezed by the Ben Lomond Scots on the road  to the tune of  48-13. The Cowboys have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Scots, too.
 Leading Grantsville to victory were  Dallan Van Vliet and  Jayden Atkinson.  Van Vliet threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes, while  Atkinson rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Atkinson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 101  rushing yards dating back to last season.  Peyton Thornton was in the mix  too, providing Grantsville with two touchdowns.
 When it comes to explaining why Ben Lomond lost, don't look at  Jaxon Funk. Despite the final result, he rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Funk showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 65 yards.
 Grantsville's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Ben Lomond,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grantsville will take on Ogden at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Ogden's defense has only allowed 13.8  points per game  this season, so Grantsville's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Ben Lomond, they will face off against Morgan at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Morgan will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  victory, something Ben Lomond surely won't give up without a fight.
