Soccer Game Preview: Braden River vs. Venice

Braden River hasn't had much luck against Venice recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Braden River Pirates will be home for the holidays to greet the Venice Indians at 7:00 p.m. Braden River is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Thursday, Braden River earned a 3-1 win over North Port. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Bobcats are ranked 308th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Victoria Caiazzo and Jordynn Roberts scored all three of Braden River's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Meanwhile, Venice and St. Johns Country Day finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Braden River's victory bumped their record up to 6-0-4. Venice's draw gives them a new season record of 4-3-3.
