Tri-Valley took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Elk Point-Jefferson, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mustangs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Huskies on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted against the Huskies since October 5, 2017.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Tri-Valley who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-23.

Tri-Valley's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Elk Point-Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.

Elk Point-Jefferson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Dakota Valley on the 18th. Hopefully Tri-Valley paid attention to the Huskies' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
