It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but East Hardy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Fort Hill Sentinels. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

East Hardy's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Fort Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5-1 record this season.

East Hardy has already played their next matchup, a 15-0 victory against Pocahontas County on the 24th. As for Fort Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-7 loss against Spring Mills on the 23rd.
