Basketball Recap: Sundance Takes a Loss

Sundance lost against Tongue River back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sundance Bulldogs took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tongue River Eagles.

Tongue River's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alex Whitehead led the charge by going 5 for 9 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenyonn Snell, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points.

Sundance dropped their record down to 11-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Tongue River, their win bumped their record up to 4-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sundance and Moorcroft will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tongue River, they will head out on the road to challenge Wright at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
