Flag Football Game Preview: Canyon View Jaguars vs. Desert Mountain Wolves + How To Watch

The Canyon View Jaguars will take on the Desert Mountain Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Canyon View will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Desert Mountain's offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Wednesday: Canyon View hadn't allowed a single point the last five times they've hit the field. The Jaguars never let Willow Canyon get on the board and left with a 52-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won eight contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Nataley Laing went supernova, throwing for 353 yards and six TDs while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Those 353 passing yards gave her a new career-high. Jada White was Laing's top target, picking up 113 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Canyon View didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bella Rincon and Martha Kaborloomene. Kaborloomene got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Desert Mountain's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a hard 28-14 fall against Arizona College Prep. The Wolves gained 116 more yards on the day, but it was the Knights that made the best use of them.

Canyon View will have to contain Caroline Workman as she made an impact in Desert Mountain's last game. She threw for 270 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 60 yards and one score on only seven carries. Workman also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making four total tackles and defending two passes.

Canyon View's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Desert Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1.

Everything came up roses for Canyon View against Desert Mountain in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 53-6 victory. In that game, the Jaguars amassed a halftime lead of 39-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
