Basketball Game Preview: Blanco Panthers vs. Llano Yellowjackets

The Blanco Panthers will face off against the Llano Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Llano took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Blanco, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Blanco strolled past Florence with points to spare, taking the game 39-24.

Meanwhile, Llano played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 61-41 to Comfort. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Yellowjackets have suffered against the Bobcats/Deer since December 20, 2019.

Blanco will need focus on slowing down Konrad Zwicke, one of several Llano players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Magadance, who earned eight points.

Llano's defeat dropped their record down to 1-25. As for Blanco, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Blanco and Llano were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but Blanco came up empty-handed after a 61-60 loss. Thankfully for Blanco, Weston Baker (who put up 22 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
