Softball Game Preview: Hubbard Eagles vs. McKinley Red Dragons

For the second straight game, Hubbard will face off against McKinley. Hubbard will be playing at home against McKinley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Hubbard is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against McKinley. Hubbard's pitcher stepped up to hand McKinley an 11-0 shutout on Tuesday.

Haleigh Taylor made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Hubbard let Cara Green and Lauren Komorek run wild. Green scored three runs while going 3-for-3, while Komorek went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Everything went Hubbard's way against McKinley in their previous meeting on Tuesday, as Hubbard made off with an 11-0 win. Will Hubbard repeat their success, or does McKinley has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
