Soccer Game Preview: Battle Creek vs. Culleoka

The Battle Creek Grizzlies will square off against the Culleoka Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Battle Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.1 goals per game this season.

Battle Creek took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Wayne County a 9-0 shutout. William Shetler was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Culleoka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Richland, falling 8-0.

Culleoka's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Battle Creek, they now have a winning record of 7-6-1.

Everything went Battle Creek's way against Culleoka in their previous matchup back in March, as Battle Creek made off with a 6-1 victory. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
