Basketball Recap: Maxwell Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wagon Mound last Monday, Maxwell came back down to earth. The Maxwell Bears fell 63-52 to the Cimarron Rams on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Rams this season, with their most recent defeat being a 80-79 loss two weeks ago.

Maxwell's defeat dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Cimarron, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maxwell will take on Des Moines on Thursday. As for Cimarron, they will square off against Elida at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
