Volleyball Game Preview: Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs vs. Highland Prep West HORNETS

The Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs will take on the Highland Prep West HORNETS at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rancho Solano Prep is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Last Thursday, Rancho Solano Prep earned a 3-1 victory over Camp Verde.

Rancho Solano Prep was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 18-25, 25-14, 25-16.

Bree Howard had an outrageously good game as she had 12 digs and five aces. What's more, she posted four assists, the most she's had since back in September.

Howard wasn't the only good servers: Rancho Solano Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Highland Prep West came up short against Wickenburg on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Highland Prep West has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Rancho Solano Prep, their win bumped their record up to 19-9.

Everything went Rancho Solano Prep's way against Highland Prep West in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Rancho Solano Prep made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the HORNETS have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
