Basketball Recap: Fontainebleau Comes Up Short

If Fontainebleau was feeling good fresh off their 84-56 takedown of Chalmette last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fontainebleau Bulldogs fell just short of the Northshore Panthers by a score of 52-50 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Fontainebleau's defeat dropped their record down to 24-16. As for Northshore, the victory was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 28-6.

Fontainebleau and Northshore should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Fontainebleau will challenge Pope John Paul II at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday up 174 places (80 vs. 254). Meanwhile, Northshore (ranked 19th) will meet Slidell (ranked 86th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
