Football Recap: Baldwin Comes Up Short

If Baldwin was riding high fresh off their 42-0 takedown of Roslyn/Friends Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruins fell 26-14 to the Valley Stream Central Eagles on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bruins came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Eagles are ranked 504th).

Baldwin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Valley Stream Central, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Baldwin will face off against East Meadow at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Valley Stream Central, they will square off against Glen Cove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
