Softball Recap: Clinton Yellowjackets vs. Quitman Bulldogs
After flying high against Valley Springs two weeks ago, Clinton came back down to earth. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Quitman Bulldogs on Monday, falling 15-4. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.
Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Quitman, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
Coming up, Clinton will welcome Atkins at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Yellowjackets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Quitman, they have already played their next matchup, a 13-2 victory against Marshall on the 1st.
