After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Union Academy, South Stanly was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the South Columbus Stallions 13-3. Considering the Rowdy Rebel Bulls have won nine matches by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Kinsley Tyson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Coco Tyson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Ashelyn Tucker was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

South Stanly's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for South Columbus, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
