Basketball Recap: Sissonville Takes Down Princeton in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Sissonville rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Princeton Tigers by a score of 46-35. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 45-41 back in January.

It was another big night for Makaela Ullman, who shot 83% from the field on her way to 18 points along with eight boards and three steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Kynadee Britton was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Sissonville has been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points over those games. Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.

Looking ahead, Sissonville will square off against Greenbrier East at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Greenbrier East's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches. Princeton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
