Softball Game Preview: Pioneer Titans vs. Montebello Oilers

The Pioneer Titans are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will challenge the Montebello Oilers at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Montebello took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Pioneer, who comes in off a win.

Pioneer made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Loara, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Pioneer put the hurt on Loara with a sharp 19-5 win on Tuesday. 19 seems to be a good number for the Titans as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Montebello didn't have quite enough to beat Wilson on Thursday and fell 5-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Oilers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

The win made it two in a row for Pioneer and bumps their season record up to 3-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14.5 runs. As for Montebello, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
